ORIAL OUTDOOR (PTY) LTD – WARRANTY POLICY

At Orial Outdoor, we design and source durable gear intended for real-world outdoor use. While our products are built to last, manufacturing defects can occasionally occur. In line with our sustainability commitments, we prioritise repair or replacement of components where possible before offering full product replacement.
This Warranty Policy should be read together with our Returns Policy and Terms & Conditions.
WARRANTY PERIOD
Orial Outdoor products are covered by a 2-year limited warranty from the date of delivery.
This warranty applies only to products purchased on or after 20 December 2023 and only to the product categories listed below.
PRODUCTS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY
The following products are covered by our 2-year warranty:

Products purchased prior to 20 December 2023, or products not listed above, fall outside this warranty policy. However, we may still be able to assist on a case-by-case basis.
WHAT THE WARRANTY COVERS
This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal, intended use.
Where a valid defect is confirmed, Orial Outdoor will, at its discretion:

Repair the product

Replace the defective component or product
-
Replace the product with the same or a comparable item if repair is not feasible
For warranty claims approved within the warranty period, collection and return shipping will be arranged at our cost.
INTENDED USE & ACTIVITY LIMITATIONS
Orial Outdoor products are designed and tested for general outdoor use, including activities such as hiking, travel, paddling, boating, beach use, and everyday adventure.
Certain activities place exceptional and sustained stress on gear, particularly through repeated abrasion, dragging, compression, or impact against hard surfaces. These activities include (but are not limited to) cloofing (canyoning), caving, rope access, and similar high-abrasion technical sports.
Damage resulting from:

Sustained abrasion against rock or rough surfaces

Dragging or sliding the product under body weight
-
Repeated impact or compression beyond normal outdoor use
is considered wear and tear or misuse and is not covered under warranty, even if failure occurs at seams or welded areas.
Dry bags intended for general outdoor use are constructed differently to purpose-built cloofing or canyoning packs, which are specifically designed with sacrificial panels, heavier materials, and minimal seam construction to withstand these extreme conditions.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
The warranty does not cover:

General wear and tear, including scratches, dents, fading, or cosmetic damage

Accidental damage, misuse, abuse, or negligence

Incorrect care or cleaning, including (but not limited to):

Dishwashing flasks
-
Freezing drinkware
-
Improper use of drybags beyond intended application

Product modifications, alterations, disassembly, or unauthorised repairs
-
Damage resulting from use outside the product’s intended purpose
HOW TO SUBMIT A WARRANTY CLAIM
To initiate a warranty claim, please email support@orialoutdoor.com with the following:

Order number (required for verification)

Clear photos and a brief description of the issue

Place of purchase
Claims cannot be assessed without sufficient information.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Items Arriving Defective
If your item arrives damaged or defective:
-
Do not use the product
-
Notify us within 14 days of delivery
Using a defective item may void your warranty claim.
Gifted Items
Warranty claims must be submitted by the original purchaser.
If you received the product as a gift, please obtain the order number and purchaser details.
Third-Party Purchases
If your Orial Outdoor product was purchased via a third-party retailer (including Takealot, Amazon, Onedayonly, or physical retail partners), all warranty, return, or exchange claims must be processed through that retailer in accordance with their policies.
We are unable to process claims directly for third-party purchases.
OUT-OF-WARRANTY SUPPORT
If your product falls outside the warranty period:

We may assist with spare parts, where available

We may assist with repairs, where feasible
All shipping costs and repair expenses for out-of-warranty items will be for the customer’s account.
LIMITATION OF WARRANTY
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act.
