Ensure Airtight: Before submerging the Drifter, fully close the zipper and test its seal by applying pressure to the bag to ensure no air escapes. This step is crucial for maintaining complete waterproof integrity.
Rinse with Fresh Water: After each use, especially in sea water, rinse the Drifter with fresh water to remove salt and debris that could potentially compromise its performance.
Dry Thoroughly Before Storage: Before storing the dry bag, ensure it is completely dry inside and out. Moisture trapped inside can lead to mold growth, particularly in dark, airtight environments.
Apply Lubrication Regularly: Apply zipper lubricant every few months, and especially after 30-40 openings, to keep the zipper functioning smoothly and to prolong its lifespan.
